Two people person been arrested astatine a situation car parkland aft officers allegedly recovered homemade guns, a machete and different forbidden items during a hunt of their vehicle.

The incident unfolded astatine nan Maryborough Correctional Centre successful Queensland connected Thursday past week.

Corrective services officers had intel that led them to hunt a car successful nan prison's visitant car park.

During nan search, they allegedly recovered 2 homemade guns, a machete and an axe, ample quantities of cash, licence plates, illicit substances, medicine medication and different supplier equipment.

A 20-year-old female and a 24-year-old man were arrested and charged pinch respective offences, including possessing explosives, possessing a weapon successful nationalist and nan unlawful possession of a weapon.
